Sleep is very important, not only to the young and elderly. Adults and teens should generally get between 8-10 hours of sleep per night, however teens seem to have fallen into a strange phenomenon. Instead of getting the necessary amount of hours, many teens only recieve as little as two or three hours of sleep. Scientists are convinced that this is because of stress, too much work, and peer pressure.
The average teen goes to sleep around two and wakes up minutes before they have to leave for school. on weekends or holidays, teenagers can manage to sleep in well into the afternoon, and try to make up for the lost sleep during the week.
